How to get more followers on your instagram?

5 Tips to Get More Views On Instagram Pictures

Kuala-Lumpur Photographer

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms out there. Instagram is known for being a picture-based social media platform. Even though the company added 15-second video abilities within the past year, pictures are still king on the platform. If you are new to Instagram, you might be curious on how you can get more Instagram picture views.

1- Use 11 Hashtags

Kuala-Lumpur Photographer

Getting more views on Instagram pictures also will rely on you using more hashtags. A study showed that if you use 11 hashtags on Instagram, you will get more views and social interaction. This is basically the opposite of other big social media websites and platforms, where less hashtags will give you more views and interaction. The best part about the study was that it showed that 11 hashtags were most effective with those who had less than 1,000 followers. This means that if you are new to Instagram, this is a quick and easy way to build followers and views.

2- Use Popular Hashtags

Kuala-Lumpur Photographer

If you want to get more views on your Instagram pictures, then you need to use popular hashtags that will show up in Instagram search feeds. These popular hashtags can vary by the industry you work in, but certain hashtags are dedicated on Instagram for a specific picture. An example of this would be using a popular meme or trending hashtag. If you are putting up a cat picture, then use cat-related hashtags in order to get more views on your Instagram pictures. You do not want to be making up hashtags since people will not be able to do a search on Instagram and find your picture.

3- Take Good Pictures

Kuala-Lumpur Photographer

Getting more Instagram picture views also requires you to take good pictures. While this seems like a no-brainier, a lot of people don’t realize how important the picture quality is when it comes to whether or not someone will view your picture. You do not want a blurry picture so make sure that you are in focus before snapping the picture button. You also want to make sure you are getting a good angle on the item you want to take a picture of, which makes people more interested in viewing your picture. Getting a picture of something that people want to look at is also important and part of taking a good picture.

4- Find a Niche

Kuala-Lumpur Photographer

The people who have the most views on Instagram pictures also seem to have a niche or specialty that they focus on for pictures. If you are a chef for example, then you want to take pictures of food and food preparation. If you want to get more views on your Instagram pictures, then stick to posting pictures of your niche. You can throw in a few other types of pictures too; just make sure it is not cluttered with random pictures. You also want to keep your specialty, niche, or hobby to just a couple of things. This will help keep your Instagram pictures coherent and focused on certain topics.

5-Use Natural Light Sources

Kuala-Lumpur Photographer

If you are looking to get more views on your Instagram pictures, you should also use natural light when possible. Natural light can create a lot of moods, feelings, and depth to your pictures. Using artificial light takes away from the beauty and overall quality of your pictures, which can keep people from clicking on your picture. You also should utilize the various parts of the day, such as sunrise and sunset. This is due to the fact that during different times of the day, your picture and subject will give off different shadows that people will want to click on to see.

1- Vacation Photography Story

My Little Moana had the pleasure to meet this beautiful little family from Hongary

Family portrait photographer Kuala-Lumpur

After spending one entire month in Australia, they decided to do a stop over in Kuala-Lumpur and to freeze their beautiful moments and celebrate at the same the first anniversary of their daughter.

Family gatherings are a perfect opportunity for a photo-shoot, whether its a birthday party or a family reunion. However, getting a great family photo sometimes requires a little more than just smiling at the camera. We created for you a little guide on ”What to wear during your photo session”. You don’t have to be a professional fashion consultant to do this. In fact, it’s quite easy!

ARE MINI SESSIONS A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR FAMILY PHOTOS?

Mini Sessions.

In this post, I will share with you a bit about a photographer’s point of view on these types of sessions, some trade-offs when deciding between a mini and full session and most importantly some interesting feedback collected from my friends over on my Instagram Stories Polls. (Honestly, some of the answers surprised me – so glad I asked!)

What is a Mini Session

To start it off, all people polled knew what a Mini Session is, so it is no longer just photography jargon. But in case you are not aware, it is a photography session that is a smaller version of what a photographer’s full session would include. It usually has fewer images and shorter shooting time. The specifics can vary from photographer to photographer. Most typically I see them used for families around the holiday season for those lovely holiday cards filling up your fridge, but you could undoubtedly snag these for other types of sessions – engagements, seniors, milestones, etc.

RUNNING OUT OF TIME?

Not a big surprise with our packed schedules, and more often than not, attending a photo shoot is not everyone’s favorite way to spend time. (Not for me, I never get sick of them. The experience of creating with people never gets old… but I’ve always been a photography nerd.) My guess would have been cost as the most significant factor. I guess you do learn something new every day.

The time factor is terrific if you want to knock them out and have them done.

However, use your best judgment for your family. Limited time is great if everyone is ready to go, shows up on time, and you only need a handful of images. Yes, us pros can work with even cranky kids, but I am always mindful my kids can take a minute to warm up and look away the minute the camera comes out. Our best sessions are when our photographers fade into the distance, and the boys have some time to play, explore, and forget what we are doing… that doesn’t always happen in 15 minutes.

MAXIMIZE YOUR MINI

Other ways to set yourself up for success:

– Picking locations that would be interesting to members of your family

– Making sure everyone is rested and fed

– Maybe even learning toward to the outfit that is a little less uncomfortable
( Check on ”What to wear during my photo session” HERE)

– Hey – what about an adult beverage of choice for Dad (Or Mom – there is typically one parent getting dragged along)

– Ice cream treats for everyone to celebrate when they are done to round out the event… and maybe even have them looking forward to next year
